WHAT IS THE MINIMUM WAGE AMOUNT TO BE PAID TO FOREIGNER WHO KEEPS WORK PERMIT(FOR THE YEAR 2022)?

According to the decision of the Commission of Determination of Minimum Wage minimum monthly gross wage amount is determined as 6.471,00TL for the period of 01.07.2022-31.12.2022.

According to the evaluation criteria (Determined by article 13 of application regulations of work permits of foreigners law no:4817 and enacted as of 02/08/2010) required to be fulfilled by applicant company and foreigners related with work permit requests; for below job positions, foreigners’ minimum monthly gross wage must be determined as per below amounts;

- For foreigners who works in job positions such as; General Managers of Companies(Joint stock companies, Limited liability Corporations, Branch Offices in Turkey established by Foreign Direct Investor Companies) and for engineers and architects which request a pre-work permit permission –at least 6,5 times of the minimum wage(6,5*6.471,00TL =42.061,50TL) must be applied.

- For foreigners who works in job positions such as; Liaison Office Managers, Department Managers, Engineers, Architects- at least 4 times of the gross minimum wage(4*6.471,00TL =25.884,00TL) must be applied.

- For foreigners who works in jobs that need expertise and proficiency and teachers- at least 3 times of the gross minimum wage(3*6.471,00TL =19.413,00TL) must be applied.

- For foreigners who works in other jobs (such as sales person, marketing-export person)- at least 1,5 times of the gross minimum wage(1,5*6.471,00TL =9.706,50TL) must be applied.

- For foreigners who works in home services, gross minimum wage(6.471,00TL) must be applied at least.
